Little Things I’m Grateful For

(That Have Nothing to Do with Real Estate)

Okay, Renee, take a breath. It’s November, that quiet space between the busyness of summer and the rush of the holidays. The leaves are falling, the days are shorter, and for once, there’s time to slow down.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the little things I’m grateful for, not the big milestones or the flashy wins, but the everyday things that make life feel full. I’m thankful for clients who’ve become friends, and for the friendships that feel more like family.  I’m thankful for reaching the stage in life where there’s freedom…no more little kids at home, just time to do the things I love: travel, explore new hobbies, or simply enjoy a quiet morning coffee.

I’m thankful for this slower season. After a busy spring and summer, the fall and winter months feel like a reset and a time to breathe, reflect, and remember why I do what I do. I’m thankful for my health, and for my family, who always support me, whether I’m diving into work or chasing something personal just because it makes me happy.

And honestly, I’m thankful for learning to be okay with enough. Because some days I get caught in the “shoulds.” I should be posting more on social media. I should be chasing more business. I should be in better shape, reading more, doing more. But I’ve had to seriously sit myself down and remind myself that what I’m doing is enough, and so am I. Comparison really is the thief of happiness, and it’s something I’ve had to keep in check more than once.

So here’s to November! The month of slowing down, showing gratitude, and realizing that the
little things aren’t so little after all.
